Define Custom Fields

Overview

"Define Custom Fields" enables mapping of field names for display and reporting to the underlying user fields. Mapping a user field to a name value activates user field processing for the currently selected user field level.

Custom use fields may be designated at the master file or transaction file level. Values entered into custom fields during application processing are stored and linked to the related transaction or master file record and are available in corresponding inquiries and reports via XML output files. XSLT transformation of XML report or export output may be customized for your reporting needs.

The following levels may be defined:

Processing

Select a custom field level. Enter a text label to be displayed on screens and reports for the field you want to define. After needed custom fields have been described, click Save to save and activate custom field processing for the level. Click Delete to remove custom field descriptions and disable custom field processing.
