Illinois Income Tax

Overview

"Illinois Income Tax " permits entry of the illinois tax rate information for a tax year as well as Illinois employee exemption details. These entries will be used for calculating illinois income tax withholding for an employee during payroll processing who has an Illinois income tax deduction defined.

Tax Rates

Type Tax year to be maintained. If the tax year exists it will be retrieved for edit. Enter the related tax rate and the allowance line multiplier 1 and multiplier 2 values from the Booklet Illinois-700-T. Click Save to save the line item for the tax year. The saved details will display in the tax rate list below. Click an item from the list, select "Delete" to delete the related tax year rate line item. Select "Change" to retrieve the rate line item; change values, click Save to save the modification.

Exemptions

Type or prompt via "?" the Employee number to be maintained. If the employee exists it will be retrieved for edit. Enter the related Exemptions line 1 and 2 and an additional amount to be withheld, if any based on employees Illinois W4 form. Select the employee's payroll cycle from Payroll combo box (the total number of payroll periods for the cycle selected will be displayed in the listview). Click Save to save the employee exemptions. The saved details will display in the tax rate list below. Click an item from the list, select "Delete" to delete the related employee's exemptions. Select "Change" to retrieve the exemptions line item; change values, click Save to save the modification.
