Howto Configure HAProxy


This document describes the steps necessary to configure HAProxy for your BraceNet instance. This simple procedure involves copying your SSL certificate files to the appropriate directory and updating the HAProxy coniguration file to reflect the certificate's location.

SSL Certificates

Install your SSL certificate files in the following directory: /etc/ssl/private/ . Set restrictive permissions appropriately e.g.

HAProxy configuration file

Edit the /etc/haproxy/haproxy.cfg file (e.g. sudo vi /etchaproxy/haproxy.cfg). Set the bind location as shown below (replace "yourdomain_com" with your certificate name):

frontend public

bind *:443 ssl crt /etc/ssl/private/yourdomain_com.pem

Restart HAProxy (# /etc/init.d/haproxy restart) or reboot instance via the EC2 console to activate changes.
